John Cleese began his film career as a member of Monty Python, appearing in comedy classics such as And Now for Something Completely Different (1971) and Life of Brian (1979).

The angular, irascible comic scored a major hit with A Fish Called Wanda in 1986. Currently The former Fawlty Towers star appears to have found a niche in two of the most successful film franchises - as MI5 boffin, Q, in the Bond films and Nearly Headless Nick in the Harry Potter movies.
