Horrocks entered most people's consciousness as ditzy Bubbles in TV's Absolutely Fabulous, although she was highly acclaimed for her troubled teenager in Mike Leigh's 1990 film, Life is Sweet. More recently, she appeared as the singing heroine in Little Voice (1998) .

- She was at Rada with Imogen Stubbs and Ralph Fiennes.
- She punched her co-star, Tim Ransom, after he repeatedly turned up late for work on The Dressmaker.
